What Is the LTV:CAC Ratio?

The LTV:CAC ratio compares Customer Lifetime Value (how much gross profit a customer generates over their entire relationship with your company) against Customer Acquisition Cost (how much it cost to acquire them). It's the single most-cited efficiency metric in SaaS because it answers the question every investor eventually asks: is this business making more from customers than it spends to get them, by a healthy enough margin to be sustainable?
