The DoCalc editorial team

Last updated: August 5, 2026

DoCalc is built and maintained by a small, independent team rather than a large publisher — which means every formula, calculator, and article on this site is written, checked, and updated by people who are directly accountable for it.

Byline note: Articles and calculators on DoCalc are attributed to "The DoCalc Team" rather than a single named author, because our content is a collaborative, ongoing effort — formulas get refined, copy gets edited, and pages get updated well after their original publish date. This page exists so you know exactly who's behind that byline.

Who's behind DoCalc

DoCalc is built by a software developer with 9+ years of experience building web applications, working alongside contributors who help fact-check formulas and keep category content (SaaS, Finance, Insurance, Real Estate) accurate as industry benchmarks shift. You can find the founder's professional background at about.me/adlbdsha.

How we build calculators

Every calculator starts with the same question: what's the standard, industry-accepted formula for this metric, and where can we point to a credible source for it? We build the calculation logic first, test it against known reference values, then write the explanatory content around it — not the other way around. Our full process is documented on the Editorial Policy page, and the specific sources we lean on are listed on Sources & Methodology.

Corrections & feedback

If you spot a formula that looks off, a stale figure, or anything else that doesn't check out, we want to know. Email support@docalc.net with the page URL and what looks wrong — we read and triage every message, and corrections to live calculators are typically shipped within a few days.
