What Is Churn Rate?
Churn rate measures the percentage of customers (or revenue) a business loses over a given period. It's the mirror image of retention, and for a subscription business it's arguably more important than acquisition — a company that adds 10% new customers a month but loses 8% to churn is barely growing, no matter how good its marketing looks in isolation.
