About DoCalc

Last updated: August 5, 2026

DoCalc is a multi-niche calculator platform built on a simple idea: every calculation that matters to your money or your business deserves a free, fast, accurate tool — not a signup wall.

Our mission

Provide free, accurate calculators for any calculation problem. That's the whole brief. Whether you're a startup founder checking your burn rate before a board meeting, or a homebuyer working out a mortgage payment, the calculator should be free, the math should be transparent, and the result should be available in seconds, not after an email signup.

Our vision

We're building toward being the go-to one-stop platform for calculation needs across categories that don't usually share a home: SaaS and startup metrics, personal finance, insurance, and real estate. Each category gets calculators built by people who understand the domain, with formulas that are documented rather than hidden behind a black box.

Who builds DoCalc

DoCalc is built and maintained by a small, independent team — led by a software developer with 9+ years of experience building web applications — rather than a large publisher. That means every calculator you use here was built, tested, and is maintained by people directly accountable for it. See our Editorial Team page for who's behind the site, and our Editorial Policy for how we research and verify every formula before it ships.

Where we are today

DoCalc launched with SaaS metrics calculators — MRR to ARR, CAC payback, burn rate and runway, LTV:CAC ratio, unit economics, churn rate, the Rule of 40, and more — because these are metrics founders check constantly and rarely have one consistent place to calculate. We've since added Finance calculators (mortgage payment, loan payoff, compound interest), a Utility Tools hub, and Insurance calculators (life insurance needs, auto, and home), with Real Estate next on the roadmap. See the changelog for what's shipped so far.

How we make money

DoCalc is, and will remain, free to use. We support it through a small amount of clearly labeled, self-managed display advertising, and may add affiliate partnerships with relevant financial products in future — never through paywalling calculators or selling user data. Advertising never influences a calculator's formula or result; see our Editorial Policy for details.

What our calculators are — and aren't

Our calculators are educational tools built on standard, documented formulas — not financial, legal, tax, or professional advice. Read our full Disclaimer before relying on a result for a real decision.
